Voice actors Yuichi Nakamura, Takahiro Sakurai, Aya Endo, and Anna Nagase took the stage on May 30 for the opening day stage greeting of the film Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death – The Movie Recap.

The cast made their entrance after delivering short lines in character, receiving warm applause from the audience. When asked to share his thoughts on the premiere, Nakamura commented with a hint of reservation, “Well, I think it turned out really well.” He added, “It’s a tricky situation. The series already aired on TV and is available on various streaming platforms. We re-edited everything for this version, but we weren’t sure how interested people would be in seeing it again in this new form.”

Turning to the audience, Nakamura asked, “So, how was it?” He then quipped, “If someone says they didn’t like it here, they might get dragged out—though I doubt anyone would actually say that,” prompting laughter from Sakurai and the rest of the cast.

Toward the end of the event, each cast member shared a message. Nagase expressed her deep appreciation for the project, saying, “This film isn’t just sad—it’s truly beautiful. It’s something you’ll want to watch again and again. I’m honored to have been a part of it, and I hope everyone revisits it often.”

Endo touched on the surprise ending shown during this screening, commenting with a smile, “I ended up crying so much—it was overwhelming. But I’m glad we got to see those joyful memories. It really made me feel that the characters had truly lived their lives.”

Sakurai reflected on the newly recorded Juju Sanpo mini-segment: “Watching those three—Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri—really got to me. This recap movie reminded me how full of glittering memories their story was.”

Nakamura concluded the event by saying, “Even if this is your first time watching Jujutsu Kaisen, I hope you’ll recommend it to others. This film helps people see that Geto isn’t just a villain. Thank you all, and please continue to support us.”

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is a dark fantasy series that follows high schooler Yuji Itadori as he steps into the world of cursed spirits after a powerful cursed object is unsealed. This film is a special recap of Season 2, which aired in five episodes in July 2023 and depicted the past of Gojo Satoru and Suguru Geto during their Jujutsu High years.
