Chizuru, who attends the same university and hides her identity, tries to keep her rental work a secret. Meanwhile, Kazuya, unable to suppress his feelings, becomes involved in a romantic comedy that pulls in friends, family, and ex-girlfriends. Cast and Artist Comments
■Comment from Rie Takahashi (Voice of Sumi Sakurasawa)
Impressions of Season 4:
Sumi-chan has always given her all as a “girlfriend” and a “friend.” I wonder what she’ll do this season… or maybe it’s okay if she does nothing at all. As long as she appears, I’m happy. With a heart as fluffy as an inkstone (dog), I hope you’ll watch over Sumi’s scenes lovingly.

Message to Fans:
At the end of every season, I find myself clapping and saying, “That was a beautiful time.” Yet I always end up thinking, “But what happens next?” It’s thanks to your support that we can continue to explore the ever-changing hearts of these girls. I’ve said it many times, but thank you truly. Let’s enjoy Season 4 together—applause!
■Comment from ClariS
Impressions of the Series:
When I first learned about the concept of “rental girlfriends,” I was surprised. But as I watched, Chizuru’s sincerity completely changed my perception. It’s a series that makes you want to root for her. Watching Kazuya and Chizuru’s frustrating closeness, I hope their relationship deepens in Season 4.
ClariS
Message on Performing the Theme Song:
ClariS recently welcomed new members Elly and Anna, marking the start of our third chapter. It’s an honor to be part of such a wonderful anime. We even challenged ourselves by writing lyrics together for the first time as a trio.
We revisited the manga and anime many times, and I think the song really reflects Kazuya’s emotions. As the title “Umitsuki” suggests, it’s a perfect summer song. I hope you enjoy it alongside Rent-A-Girlfriend.
■Comment from Regallily
Impressions of the Series:
The emotions of wanting to love someone, or wanting to be needed by someone, are portrayed with genuine warmth in this series. It’s not quite love—but there’s a gentle pain that lingers in your heart.
Regallily
Message on Performing the Theme Song:
Vega is a star that shines straight in the night sky but remains out of reach from Earth. “Boku no Vega” captures that sense of distance in sound. It’s a song for those moments when your feelings just can’t get across, no matter how sincere they are. We hope it reaches you.
