The manga, which has won numerous awards including the Manga Grand Prize 2022 and the Excellence Award at the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival, features a "humanzee" named Charlie, born between a human and a chimpanzee, who confronts human societal issues.

The newly revealed artwork features Noa, the protagonist from the movie "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" and Charlie from "The Darwin Incident" crossing the boundaries of film and manga.

While "Planet of the Apes" and "Darwin Incident" both impact viewers' lives with their profound stories, they feature completely distinct narratives. The collaboration was inspired by the idea that depicting characters from these different stories together, as drawn by Umezawa, could enhance their influence and create a greater impact.

In the artwork, an eagle, which plays a significant role within the narratives, serves as a symbolic bridge between Noa from "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" and Charlie from "Darwin Incident."
