Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus Premieres July 5 with New PV and Ending Theme Revealed
The highly anticipated new installment in the Rascal Does Not Dream anime series, Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus, is set to premiere on July 5 at 11:30 p.m. on TOKYO MX, BS11, and other networks. Simultaneous streaming will also be available via ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Houdai. A second promotional video (PV) has been released alongside this announcement.

The ending theme song has been confirmed as “Suiheisen wa Boku no Furukizu” ("The Horizon Is My Old Scar", JP:水平線は僕の古傷), performed by Uzuki Hirokawa, Ikumi Akagi, Sara Himeji, and Toko Kirishima. Continuing the musical style of the high school arc's ending theme “Fukashigi no Karte (JP: 不可思議のカルテ),” the lyrics are by Ameko Kodama and the composition by Hidehiro Kawai. The new song can be heard in the second PV.
A second key visual was also unveiled, featuring Mai Sakurajima now in college. Behind her stands a mysterious mini-skirted Santa—hinting at the story’s seasonal theme. In addition, a special premiere event is scheduled for June 21, showcasing the first two episodes ahead of the broadcast along with a talk show featuring the main cast.

In this latest chapter, the high school protagonist has now entered college, where he encounters new people, new struggles, and mysterious phenomena. Set in a new location—Yokohama—the story once again combines supernatural elements with heartfelt human experiences.
The series is based on the original light novels by Hajime Kamoshida. Returning staff members include director Soichi Masui, series composer Masahiro Yokotani, and character designer Satomi Tamura. The animation is produced by CloverWorks.
