“How to Become Ordinary: The Case of the Wintertime Bonbon Chocolat” – New PV Unveiled, Kobato and Osanai Reunite Amidst a Hit-and-Run Incident
The latest promotional video and key visual for the anime adaptation of How to Become Ordinary: The Case of the Wintertime Bonbon Chocolat have been released.
This series, created by Naoki Prize-winning author Honobu Yonezawa—renowned for the Classics Club series including Hyouka—has sold over 1.1 million copies. How to Become Ordinary follows the intertwined lives of Kobato and Osanai, now in their second year of high school, after they end their so-called “mutualism pact.”
Osanai has begun dating Urino, a freshman in the school newspaper club, who seeks to make his mark before graduation by covering a recent string of arson cases in the city. Meanwhile, Kobato starts dating their classmate, Nakamura.
As these two former “petit bourgeois (JP: 小市民)” set off on separate paths, fate brings them together once again in this compelling new installment. Following the events of The Case of the Autumnal Kurikinton, the story continues with The Case of the Wintertime Bonbon Chocolat, offering a deeper look into their complex relationship.
The second promotional video features the ending theme “SugaRiddle” by Nagi Yanagi and gives a glimpse into the upcoming drama. Set in December, with college entrance exams just around the corner, the story opens with a shocking event: Kobato is struck in a hit-and-run accident while walking with Osanai and is rushed to the hospital.
The anime adaptation of The Case of the Wintertime Bonbon Chocolat will begin broadcasting on the 24th.
