The prologue arc “Kasamatsu Arc” of the anime Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray has concluded, and it was announced that Chapter 1, “Central Academy Arc,” will begin with Episode 7, titled “Tracen Academy,” airing on May 18. Alongside the announcement, a new key visual and PV introducing new characters were also released.

The “Tracen Academy” arc shifts the story's setting to the Central Academy and unveils a new visual featuring Uma Musume rivals who challenge Oguri Cap. Character visuals were revealed for Yaeno Muteki, Sakura Chiyono O, Mejiro Ardan, Super Creek, and Dicta Striker. Yumiri Hanamori will voice Dicta Striker.

Uma Musume is a cross-media franchise featuring anthropomorphized racehorses like Special Week, Silence Suzuka, and Tokai Teio, adapted into games, manga, and anime.

The first anime season aired from April to June 2018, the second from January to March 2021, and the third from October to December 2023. The mobile game launched in February 2021, and the franchise's first theatrical film was released in May 2024.

Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray is based on the manga serialized in Weekly Young Jump, with over 6 million copies in circulation. Centered around Oguri Cap, the strongest Uma Musume, it’s a Cinderella story about a local girl rising to Central stardom, tracing the path of the gray-haired girl who would come to be called a “monster.”

The anime adaptation coincides with the 40th anniversary of Oguri Cap’s birth. The series is directed by Yuki Ito, written by Aki Kindaichi, character designs by Takuya Miyahara and Keigo Sasaki, and animated by CygamesPictures.
