Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Youth Frontier (JP: 水星の魔女: 青春フロンティア, Suisei no Majo: Seishun Frontier), a new spinoff manga based on the hit anime Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, will begin serialization on Comic Newtype starting May 23. The announcement was accompanied by a preview of character design illustrations.

Set in a near-future Japan, Youth Frontier presents a parallel story featuring high school versions of Suletta Mercury and Miorine Rembran. This reimagined universe offers fans a fresh take on the beloved characters, showcasing them in JK-style school uniforms—including super-miniskirt designs—that have already sparked excitement among fans.

The scenario is written by HISADAKE, a member of the creative team “MORION AIRLINES,” who was also involved in the original Witch from Mercury anime. Hiro Hata, an illustrator and self-professed fan of the series, is in charge of the artwork and costume design for the manga.

Originally aired in October 2022, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is set in an era where corporations have expanded into space, forming massive economic spheres. The story centers around Suletta Mercury, a girl from the remote planet of Mercury, who transfers to the elite Asticassia School of Technology, operated by the powerful Benerit Group. There, she begins her journey of growth and self-discovery. The anime concluded in July 2023.
