Story and Production Details
Gundam GQuuuuuuX centers on high school girl Amate Yuzuriha, a peaceful colony resident who meets a war refugee named Nyaan. Their encounter draws Amate—who goes by the battle alias "Machu"—into the underground world of Clan Battles, illegal mobile suit duels.
As Machu pilots the mysterious GQuuuuuuX unit, her life becomes entangled with a secret Gundam pursued by both the Space Military and the police. Alongside its enigmatic pilot Shuji Ito, the story unfolds toward a new era in the cosmos.
The anime is co-produced by Studio Khara (known for the Evangelion series) and Sunrise (renowned for the Gundam franchise), marking their first collaboration. Directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki (Rebuild of Evangelion), the series features a top-tier staff lineup: series composition by Yoji Enokido, mechanical design by Ikuto Yamashita, and a stellar voice cast including Tomoyo Kurosawa (Amate/Machu), Yui Ishikawa (Nyaan), and Shimba Tsuchiya (Shuji Ito).
