On April 18, The Association of Japanese Animations announced that a special exhibition for Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- will be held at Anime Tokyo Station (Ikebukuro) from May 24 to August 11, 2025.

The latest entry in the Gundam franchise, Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- is directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki and marks the first-ever collaboration between two powerhouse studios: Studio Khara (Evangelion series) and Sunrise (Gundam series). Even before its upcoming TV broadcast, the restructured theatrical version of the series has already attracted massive attention, achieving 2.02 million viewers and a box office gross of ¥3.34 billion (approx. $22 million).

Highlights of the Exhibition

This special exhibition will showcase iconic scene cuts from the Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- theatrical edition. Visitors will also enjoy life-sized standees of main characters and mobile suits, photo spots that recreate scenes from the anime, and rare production materials such as original scripts.

In addition, an interactive AR photo zone will allow fans to take pictures with motifs inspired by the anime's characters—creating an immersive experience unique to Anime Tokyo Station.
