A brand-new anime project for the television series My Happy Marriage has been officially announced. To celebrate, a commemorative visual, a promotional video (PV), and a congratulatory illustration were released.

Set in a fictional world reminiscent of Japan's Meiji and Taisho eras, the series follows the unlikely love story between Kiyoka Kudo, an emotionally distant elite soldier, and Miyo Saimori, a young woman raised in an abusive household, brought together through an arranged marriage.

The anime is based on the light novel My Happy Marriage written by Akumi Agitogi with illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka, published under Fujimi L Bunko. The series has surpassed 9 million copies in circulation. A manga adaptation by Rito Kohsaka began in 2019, earning several accolades, including first place in the “2021 Nationwide Bookstore Employees’ Recommended Comics” and recognition in the “Manga Awards for Digital Readers.”

Thank you so much to everyone who watched the second season of My Happy Marriage until the very end! Just like the first season, the second was packed with rapid developments that made it impossible to look away—even for a moment. It felt like we raced to the finale in the blink of an eye.

But did you notice? We still haven’t truly delivered on the meaning of the title, My Happy Marriage.
