The synopsis and scene previews for My Happy Marriage Episode 22 (Season2 EP9), airing on March 3, on TOKYO MX and other networks have been released.

Episode 22 Story

Hōjō launches an attack on the military headquarters, bringing Usui Naoshi’s scheme to its final stage. The Oni controlled by the Inō Shinkyō sect begin to repel supernatural attacks. Kiyoka Kudo seeks help from Kazushi Tatsuishi, the head of the Tatsuishi family, who specializes in dispelling techniques. Meanwhile, Miyo Saimori has a dream about Usui Naoshi’s past, witnessing his farewell with Sumi Saimori. Urgently, she tries to tell Kiyoka about it, but just then, the secretary who previously went missing suddenly appears…

A Unique Romance in a Historical Fantasy Setting

Set in a fictional world reminiscent of Japan's Meiji and Taisho eras, My Happy Marriage follows the politically arranged marriage between Kiyoka Kudo, a reserved elite military officer, and Miyo Saimori, a girl who endured years of abuse from her family. Season 2 delves into the mystery surrounding Miyo's "Usuba Blood," testing the couple’s love and resilience as they face new challenges.

About the Original Work

The anime is based on the popular novel series of the same name by Akumi Agitogi, with illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka, published under Kadokawa’s Fujimi L Bunko imprint. With over 8 million copies sold across the series, My Happy Marriage has also been adapted into a manga by Rito Kosaka, which won multiple awards, including the top spot in the Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics 2021.

The franchise has expanded into live-action and stage adaptations, with a 2023 film starring Ren Meguro (Snow Man) and Mio Imada, and an original stage production in August 2023.
