The synopsis and scene previews for My Happy Marriage Episode 20 (Season2 EP7), airing on February 17, on TOKYO MX and other networks have been released.

Episode 20 Story

As the New Year begins, Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudo take a brief moment to relax and head to a shrine for their first visit of the year. Miyo wishes for nothing more than to stay by Kiyoka’s side.

At the shrine, members of the Gifted Communion sect captivate the townspeople by showcasing a bird-like monstrous entity. If their influence continues to grow, civil unrest will become inevitable.

To protect Miyo, a plan to relocate her to the Imperial Palace with Takaihito is already in motion.

A Unique Romance in a Historical Fantasy Setting

Set in a fictional world reminiscent of Japan's Meiji and Taisho eras, My Happy Marriage follows the politically arranged marriage between Kiyoka Kudo, a reserved elite military officer, and Miyo Saimori, a girl who endured years of abuse from her family. Season 2 delves into the mystery surrounding Miyo's "Usuba Blood," testing the couple’s love and resilience as they face new challenges.

About the Original Work

The anime is based on the popular novel series of the same name by Akumi Agitogi, with illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka, published under Kadokawa’s Fujimi L Bunko imprint. With over 8 million copies sold across the series, My Happy Marriage has also been adapted into a manga by Rito Kosaka, which won multiple awards, including the top spot in the Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics 2021.

The franchise has expanded into live-action and stage adaptations, with a 2023 film starring Ren Meguro (Snow Man) and Mio Imada, and an original stage production in August 2023.
