"Demon Slayer" Releases New Eyecatch Illustrations, Including Mitsuri in a Yukata, Totaling 21 Varieties

The popular anime "Special Edited Version 'Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc Enemy Attack Edition'" was broadcast on Fuji TV on the 4th. After the broadcast, ufotable's official X was updated, and 21 newly produced eyecatch illustrations and 4 new original art illustrations were released.

In the newly produced eyecatches, viewers can see characters like Mitsuri in a yukata and Kanao in her corps uniform.


"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," based on the manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from February 2016 to May 2020, is a popular series with over 150 million copies of the comics in circulation. The story is set in the Taisho era in a world inhabited by man-eating demons and follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who joins the "Demon Slayer Corps" to avenge his family killed by demons and to turn his demon-transformed sister Nezuko back into a human.

The first season of the anime was broadcast from April to September 2019, igniting its popularity and turning it into a social phenomenon. The movie "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train," which continues from the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020 and became a major hit, surpassing 40 billion yen in domestic box office revenue. The second season "Entertainment District Arc" was broadcast from December 2021, continuing the story from the movie, and the third season "Swordsmith Village Arc" was aired from April to June 2023.
