Jujutsu Kaisen: Top 3 Iconic Scenes Unveiled at AnimeJapan 2025 with Cast Reflections
On March 23, the Jujutsu Kaisen AnimeJapan 2025 Special Stage event took place in Tokyo, featuring cast members Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori), Yuuichi Nakamura (Satoru Gojo), Takahiro Sakurai (Suguru Geto), and Anna Nagase (Riko Amanai).
The event celebrated the upcoming theatrical compilation film Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death, which is set to premiere on May 30.
The cast revisited three fan-voted iconic scenes from the TV anime during a special segment titled “The Scenes We Want to Watch in Theaters!”, complete with live commentary and footage.

Riko’s Emotional Confession to Geto
The first scene showcased Riko Amanai finally opening up to Geto at the Tombs of the Star Corridor. Fans praised the moment as deeply moving, noting, “It’s a tearjerker no matter how many times I watch it,” and “Seeing Riko’s vulnerability was heartbreaking.” Anna Nagase reflected:
“This was the most nerve-wracking scene to perform. It contrasts with Riko’s bright personality earlier on, as she reveals a deeply personal side she couldn’t share with anyone. I wanted to treat it with care.”
Geto’s “Monkeys…” Line in the Shower
The second pick was the chilling scene of Suguru Geto, overwhelmed and spiraling in a shower, muttering “Monkeys…”—a turning point in his character arc. Fans noted, “It’s the moment he began to diverge from his friends at Jujutsu High.” Takahiro Sakurai explained:
“I wondered when he started harboring those doubts and contradictions. They built up until that moment of emotional collapse. I tried to deliver the line as if it slipped out despite his last attempt to hold on.”
Gojo’s Message to Young Megumi

The final scene featured Gojo speaking to a young Megumi Fushiguro, saying, “Become strong enough so I won't leave you behind.” One fan shared, “The visuals were stunning, and Gojo’s mix of loneliness and resolve after a bitter youth was powerful.” Yuuichi Nakamura commented:
“Gojo once believed his strength was absolute, but this arc showed him otherwise. He realized the need for strong allies. It’s interesting how Fushiguro’s father’s words influenced this. Gojo rarely shows up in critical moments, and perhaps it’s deliberate, letting others grow.”
New Trailer and Acoustic Theme Song Debut
The event also premiered the theatrical trailer for the compilation film, which featured an acoustic version of Tatsuya Kitani’s theme song “Ao no Sumika (Acoustic ver.)”. The audience responded with resounding applause.
Nakamura shared:
“The original song was already luxurious for such a short series, and it’s wonderful that more people can now hear this acoustic version in theaters.”
Nagase noted:
“I had only seen the scenes where Riko appears, so the two characters from ‘Premature Death’ felt like completely different people in the trailer. I’m looking forward to experiencing the full arc in one go.”

Cast Shares Final Messages to Fans
Junya Enoki: “The acoustic version adds so much emotion. It makes the youth of the three main characters shine even brighter. Please enjoy it with great sound and music.”
Yuuichi Nakamura: “Rewatching it brings new discoveries. The visuals were stunning—it didn’t feel like a TV series at all. I’ve always wanted to see the entire arc in a theater.”
Takahiro Sakurai: “The screen size and sound design offer something you can’t get at home. Watching again made Geto’s line ‘We are the strongest’ feel even more bittersweet.”
Anna Nagase: “Being part of this project was an honor. I remember Risa Shimizu, who voiced Kuroi, telling me she’d ‘protect me’ during recording. It left a lasting impression.”
