Voice actors Daisuke Ono, Houko Kuwashima, Kenichi Suzumura, and Kenji Akabane attended the completion stage greeting event for the anime film Be Forever Yamato REBEL3199 Chapter 3: Ultramarine Asteroid on March 19 in Tokyo. The movie is set for release on April 11.

At the event, Daisuke Ono reprised his role as Susumu Kodai, Houko Kuwashima as Yuki Mori, Kenichi Suzumura as Daisuke Shima, and Kenji Akabane as Yasuo Nanbu. Chief Supervisor Harutoshi Fukui and Director Naomichi Yamato also took the stage, with Eriko Nakamura, the voice of Mikage Kiryu, serving as the event’s MC.

The Rising Tension Between Kodai and Alfon

In Chapter 3, while Susumu Kodai and his crew continue their battles in space, Yuki Mori remains on Earth, spending time with Alfon (voiced by Makoto Furukawa) and others. When the topic of her growing connection with Alfon came up, jokingly referred to as “Yuki is becoming Alfon’s woman,” Ono immediately panicked, exclaiming, “Hey, cut it out!”

Expressing his concerns, Ono noted, “Earlier, when we were talking about Alfon, Kuwashima-san didn’t seem entirely opposed to the idea. Before, she kept more distance, but now, she seems softer toward him. They’re getting comfortable with each other.” Kuwashima responded with a nervous laugh, saying, “Ono-kun is scary… When the official account on X (formerly Twitter) posted about Alfon, I just replied, ‘Alfon!’ and immediately got scolded with, ‘No, Kuwashima-san! That’s not okay!’ It’s not like I added a heart emoji or anything! (laughs) I just meant, ‘Oh, it’s Alfon!’ But they read too much into it, and I ended up deleting it out of fear.”

Kuwashima then gave some advice to Kodai, saying, “You really shouldn’t stay away for too long.”

Behind-the-Scenes Recording Sessions

The discussion also revealed an amusing behind-the-scenes anecdote from the recording sessions. Kuwashima shared, “For some reason, after Ono-kun and the others finished recording, Furukawa-kun and I were always called in next. That made him quite grumpy,” she laughed.

Ono, visibly frustrated yet amused, added, “The two of them get to record together! And in the exact same booth I was just in! The entire production team is stirring things up!” His fiery jealousy had the audience bursting into laughter.
