Episode 3 of You and Idol Pretty Cure (キミとアイドルプリキュア♪), the 22nd installment in the Pretty Cure anime series, has released its story preview and early scene stills. Episode 3 will air on Sunday, February 16, at 8:30 AM on Japanese TV, followed by international streaming on various platforms.

Episode3 Story

The episode, titled “Summon Your Courage♪ Cure Wink’s Debut!”, airs on the 16th and follows Uta Sakura (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) and her class as they prepare for a choral performance at the first-year student welcome ceremony. However, Nana Aokaze (voiced by Minami Takahashi), who is responsible for the piano accompaniment, is still haunted by a past failure at a recent piano competition. During practice, she struggles and makes mistakes while playing.

Concerned about Nana, Uta invites her to lunch during recess, hoping to cheer her up with a song. However, as they talk, Purirun sneezes, accidentally revealing Uta’s identity as Cure Idol. Later, Uta takes Nana to Café Glitter, where Uta’s parents recall a childhood memory of Uta performing at a piano recital. This story helps Nana remember that she had met Uta when they were younger.

The next day, determined to play her best for Hamori Sakura, who eagerly anticipates her performance, Nana heads to school with Uta. However, their day is disrupted by the arrival of Maclander. When Uta learns that Hamori has been captured, she transforms into Cure Idol and lures Maclander to the plaza for battle. Nana, stunned by the sudden turn of events, freezes in place—what will happen next?

About You and Idol Pretty Cure

The theme of You and Idol Pretty Cure revolves around idols. With the belief that "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!", the Pretty Cure idols sing, dance, and engage with fans, using their performances to restore Kirakira to those who have lost it.

The story follows Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she meets Purirun, a fairy searching for the Idol Pretty Cure, the legendary savior of Kirakiland. Kirakiland has been plunged into darkness by Darkine, the leader of the Chokkiri Gang.

As the Chokkiri Gang begins stealing the Kirakira from townspeople, a desperate Uta declares, "I want to bring back the Kirakkiranran feeling! With my song!" Her determination resonates, and she transforms into the legendary Cure Idol.
