The synopsis and preview images for Episode 5: "The Flowing Years" of the TV anime Witchy Pretty Cure!! MIRAI DAYS, a sequel to Witchy Pretty Cure!, have been released. The series airs on ABC TV and TV Asahi's late-night anime block "ANiMAZiNG!!!" (Saturdays at 2:00 AM JST) starting February 8.

Witchy Pretty Cure! is the 13th installment of the Pretty Cure series, originally airing from February 2016 to January 2017. The story connects two worlds—the Magic World and the Non-Magic World (Human World)—through miracles and magic.

This sequel is part of a new initiative in the Pretty Cure franchise, which began in 2004. Aimed at fans who grew up with the series, it follows the concept of creating content that allows these now-adult fans to continue enjoying the franchise. Following the first installment, The Power of Hope Adult Precure '23 (October 2023), this sequel brings fresh storytelling to this beloved series.

Story Overview

Mirai Asahina, a curious and wonder-loving girl, encounters Riko, a magical girl, during her spring break before starting her second year of middle school. Guided by miracles and magic, they transform together into the legendary magical warriors, Pretty Cure! Alongside Mirai's beloved teddy bear Mofurun and the fairy Ha-chan born from the Linkle Smartphone, they unite to confront the chaos threatening both the Magic World and the Non-Magic World. However, this battle ends with the bittersweet parting of the friends.

Years later, Mirai and her friends experience a miraculous reunion, setting out on new journeys in their respective worlds: Mirai as a university student in the Non-Magic World, Riko as a teacher at the Magic School, Mofurun still by Mirai’s side, and Ha-chan watching over the world from afar.

But as a new calamity looms over both worlds, Mirai and Riko reunite after several months apart. Facing a mysterious enemy, they begin to reflect on their past and look toward their future. With the magical words "Cure Up! Rapapa!" their exciting new story begins once more.

Episode 5 "The Flowing Years"

Where is Aile? Why was Hisui able to use magic? And what was the figure Hisui saw within the light? While questions continue to pile up, the most pressing concern now is Hisui's extraordinary and inexplicable growth rate. To avoid drawing suspicion from those around them, Mirai and Riko decide to move with Hisui to an apartment Riko has rented.
