The first episode of the TV anime You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ aired on February 2nd on the TV Asahi network. The appearance of the protagonist Sakura Uta's father, Sakura Kazu, has become a hot topic due to his striking resemblance to voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda. Episode 1 Overview

In Episode 1, titled "Kirakiranran♪ Cure Idol Debut!", young Sakura Uta (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) from Hanamichi Town encounters a fairy named Prilun while singing during a walk. Startled, Uta rushes home, but Prilun follows her to her family's café, "Café Glitter." At the café, Uta's parents are working, and her father, Sakura Kazu, makes an appearance. With wavy hair and a beard, his appearance closely resembles that of Kenjiro Tsuda. Despite this, Tsuda voices the family's dog, Kyutaro, who enjoys walks with Uta.

Prilun's homeland, Kirakki Land, has been plunged into darkness by the Chokkiri Gang's boss, Dark Eine. Amidst this, the town's sparkle is stolen by the Chokkiri Gang, putting it in great danger. However, Uta's determination to "make everything Kirakiranran with my song!" leads her to transform into the legendary savior, Cure Idol.
