Episode 2 of You and Idol Pretty Cure (キミとアイドルプリキュア♪), the 22nd installment in the Pretty Cure anime series, has released its story preview and early scene stills. Episode 2 will air on Sunday, February 9, at 8:30 AM on Japanese TV, followed by international streaming on various platforms. Additionally, it has been announced that Sayaka Ohara will voice Queen Pikariine, who debuts in this episode.

Episode2 Story

Scheduled to air on the 9th, the episode follows Uta Sakura (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) and Purirun as they return home after rescuing Ema. On TV, Cure Idol is trending as the "mysterious new idol gaining traction on social media."

Returning to her room, Purirun receives a message from Queen Pikariine of Kirakiland. Pikariine reveals that a figure named Darkine appeared one day and cut the "Big Kirakira Ribbon," the source of Kirakiland’s radiance, plunging the land into darkness.

The next day, Uta returns to school for the new term and is surprised to see a poster recruiting members for the "Cure Idol Research Club." Her classmates, including Mikoto Higashinaka and Nana Aokaze, are excited about Cure Idol’s rising fame, making Uta feel proud. However, the Chokkiri Gang reappears in town...

About You and Idol Pretty Cure

The theme of You and Idol Pretty Cure revolves around idols. With the belief that "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!", the Pretty Cure idols sing, dance, and engage with fans, using their performances to restore Kirakira to those who have lost it.

The story follows Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she meets Purirun, a fairy searching for the Idol Pretty Cure, the legendary savior of Kirakiland. Kirakiland has been plunged into darkness by Darkine, the leader of the Chokkiri Gang.

As the Chokkiri Gang begins stealing the Kirakira from townspeople, a desperate Uta declares, "I want to bring back the Kirakkiranran feeling! With my song!" Her determination resonates, and she transforms into the legendary Cure Idol.
