Story Overview
Former professional boxer Ryo Harima suffered severe physical deterioration due to excessive sparring, leading to an unfortunate match that left him in a two-year vegetative state. With his future in professional boxing shattered and betrayed by his own gym, Harima resolves to rise as a promoter instead. However, his fate takes a sharp turn when he encounters a controversial athlete who tore apart a burning national flag on an Olympic podium!
This is a gritty tale of those who wield their fists and chase money in boxing’s underworld!
About the Author - Toshio Sako
Born in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Made his debut in 2005 with Usogui, which won an Honorable Mention in the 48th MANGA Grand Prix.
Serialized Usogui in Weekly Young Jump from 2006 to 2018.
The series received a live-action film adaptation in 2022.
Launched Batuque in 2018, later moving to Tonari no Young Jump in 2020, concluding in 2024.
Published the Usogui spin-off Usogui to Kagerou Tachiainin in 2021.
