Live Performance of “Sign wa B” by B-Komachi (Nagisa Saito, Nana Mori, Ano) from Live-Action Oshi no Ko Debuts
The live-action Oshi no Ko project by Amazon and Toei has released a special performance of “Sign wa B” by B-Komachi, performed by cast members Nagisa Saito, Nana Mori, and Ano. This live performance was not included in the main series and showcases the group’s debut stage at the Japan Idol Festival (JIF), as depicted in episode 5 of the drama.
B-Komachi, an idol group formed in the story by Ruby (Saito), Kana Arima (Mori), and MEM-cho (Ano), performs the hit song “Sign wa B,” which originally appeared in the anime and is a fan favorite from the source material.
Mini-Album and Streaming Release Announced
Alongside the video release, the jacket art for B-Komachi’s upcoming mini-album, set to launch on December 18, has been revealed. The album features previously announced tracks like “We Are Invincible Idols!!,” “Twilight,” and “Shining Song,” along with the newly released “Sign wa B (Drama ver.).” The full version of “Sign wa B (Drama ver.)” will also be available for streaming on platforms such as Amazon Music.
Rising Popularity of B-Komachi’s Performances
B-Komachi’s promotional activities have garnered significant attention, with the live performance video for “We Are Invincible Idols!!” reaching 2.4 million views on YouTube and the music video for “Twilight” surpassing 1.45 million views as of December 6.
The Impact of Oshi no Ko
Oshi no Ko, created by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, debuted in Weekly Young Jump in 2020 and has captivated audiences with its unique blend of fantastical reincarnation, suspenseful storytelling, and a bold exploration of the entertainment industry.
The live-action adaptation features an all-star cast, including Kaito Sakurai, Asuka Saito, Nagisa Saito, Nana Mori, Mizuki Kayashima, Ano, Ryo Narita, and recently announced secret cast member Kazunari Ninomiya. The drama series is available on Prime Video, with episodes 1–8 streaming now. The concluding film, Oshi no Ko: The Final Act, will hit theaters nationwide on December 20, distributed by Toei.
