Episode 31 “Itoshi Sae” Story

The match between Blue Lock Eleven and the U-20 Japan National Team heats up as Isagi Yoichi and his teammates take the offensive. Despite their bold attempts to break through, the U-20 defense—led by the impenetrable “Iron Wall Quartet”—neutralizes each attack, cutting off their momentum.

When the ball reaches Itoshi Sae, the U-20 team executes a devastating counterattack with breathtaking precision. Blue Lock’s defenders, including goalie Gagamaru Gin, desperately fend off Sae and his team’s relentless advances. However, the ball rebounds back into Sae’s control, setting the stage for a decisive moment that could determine the fate of the match.

About Blue Lock

Blue Lock is based on the manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. It tells the story of a national high school soccer project launched by Japan following their defeat in the Soccer World Cup, aiming to create a forward player with "overwhelming egoism." The project gathers 300 high school soccer players—all forwards—where 299 will have to give up their soccer dreams for one to emerge as a revolutionary striker who can change the future of Japanese soccer.

The manga has surpassed 40 million copies in circulation, and the first season of the TV anime aired from October 2022 to March 2023.
