BLUELOCK Season1 Episode1 Synopsis & Scene Images Released

The synopsis and preview images for the first episode, titled "Dream," of the TV anime Blue Lock, which will premiere on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 1:30 AM (JST) on TV Asahi's 24-station nationwide network during the "NUMAnimation" programming block, have been released.

BLUELOCK Episode1 Synopsis

The story begins with the final match of the prefectural tournament in the National High School Soccer Championship. Yoichi Isagi, a second-year high school forward, loses his chance to advance to the national stage after choosing to pass the ball in front of the goal.

Shortly after, Yoichi receives an invitation to the mysterious "Blue Lock." This facility was designed to create Japan's greatest striker—an egoist—by selecting just one individual out of 300 high school forwards to lead Japan to victory in the World Cup.

Unsure of what lies ahead, Yoichi and the others are gathered into a small, enclosed room where they must undergo an entrance exam. The test will eliminate one person from the group of twelve.


About BLUELOCK

"Blue Lock" (BLUELOCK) is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) in issue 35 of 2018. In May 2021, it won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shonen category.

The story follows the strikers as they are thrown into a series of ruthless selection tests, each sharpening their skills while grappling with the harsh challenges presented by the unforgiving system.
