On November 13, BANDAI SPIRITS announced that it would begin adjusting the suggested retail prices of its plastic model kits, including some Gunpla products, from April 2025.

According to the company, "We have worked to maintain stable prices for over 40 years. However, recent increases in raw material, packaging, and logistics costs have made it challenging to maintain the current pricing structure. As such, we will gradually adjust prices for certain products starting with re-releases after April 2025."

The company emphasized its commitment to providing safe, high-quality products to fans worldwide and asked for understanding regarding the adjustments.

The official website has released a list of products affected by the price increase. Examples include:

"30MM 1/144 Close Combat Option Armor [for Alto / Dark Green]" from ¥330 to ¥440
"HG 1/144 Gundam Exia" from ¥1,320 to ¥1,540
"MGEX 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam" from ¥15,400 to ¥17,050

Price Adjustment Details

General Retail Products: Certain products released from April to June 2025; updates on additional price adjustments for products after July 2025 will be posted quarterly on the Bandai Hobby website.
Premium Bandai Hobby Online Shop Products: Price changes apply to select products shipped from April 2025. Notifications will appear at the start of each product’s reservation period.
Gundam Base Limited/ Event Exclusives: Certain items released from April 2025 will be affected, with further updates from February 2025 on the Bandai Hobby website.
