The hit manga The Quintessential Quintuplets by Negi Haruba will be adapted into a stage play, with members of Hinatazaka46’s 4th generation taking on the roles of the iconic quintuplets. The play will run from March 8 to March 23, 2025, at Tokyo’s Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stellar Ball.

About The Quintessential Quintuplets

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2017 to 2020, The Quintessential Quintuplets tells the story of a high school boy hired as a tutor for quintuplet sisters on the verge of academic failure. With its unique characters and heartfelt humor, the series quickly gained popularity, winning the 43rd Kodansha Manga Award in 2019 and selling over 20 million copies worldwide. The series has expanded into anime, movies, and games, remaining beloved even after its conclusion.

The five Nakano sisters will be portrayed by 11 members of Hinatazaka46’s 4th generation in double and triple casting:

The play will incorporate singing and dancing, with Akira Yamazaki handling script and direction, Takuya Kusunose as music director, and choreography by Hiroki Noda from the dance unit Me-My.
