New "The Quintessential Quintuplets" Anime Premiering in Theaters on September 20: Futaro and the Quintuplets' Honeymoon Arc
A new TV special anime for "The Quintessential Quintuplets," titled "The Quintessential Quintuplets*," will be screened in theaters nationwide for three weeks starting September 20, ahead of its television broadcast. Alongside this announcement, a teaser visual and information on the opening and ending theme songs have been revealed.
"The Quintessential Quintuplets*," supervised and completely overseen by original creator Negi Haruba, adapts the honeymoon arc of Futaro and the quintuplets into a visual format. This installment continues the series' 500% cuteness with its romantic comedy theme. The unveiled teaser visual showcases the high school quintuplets in different colored muumuus enjoying themselves against the backdrop of Hawaii's vibrant sea. This visual is also featured on the special clear files included with the MoviTicke cards, which will be available for purchase at theaters nationwide and at Meitetsu from July 19.
Additionally, information about the theme songs has been released. The opening theme song, "Gotoubun no Egao," and the ending theme song, "Memories," will be performed by the main heroines, the Nakano quintuplets (voiced by Kana Hanazawa, Ayana Taketatsu, Miku Ito, Ayane Sakura, and Inori Minase). The EP featuring these theme songs and insert songs will be released on September 18, just before the theatrical premiere of "The Quintessential Quintuplets*."
