It has been announced that a new installment of the anime series "The Quintessential Quintuplets" will be produced. The announcement was made today, the 28th, during the major event "The Quintessential Quintuplets 5th Anniversary EVENT at Yokohama Arena." A new promotional video revealing further details was also released.

A new anime titled "The Quintessential Quintuplets＊" featuring Futaro and the quintuplets on their honeymoon has been announced. It will be based on an original plan and completely supervised by the creator, Negi Haruba. The release date will be announced later.

Additionally, a new light novel is also set to be produced, entirely supervised by Negi Haruba. Written by Hajime Asano, known for works such as "Mayo Chiki!" (MF Bunko J) and "Lapis Re:Lights", the novel will depict the daily lives of the quintuplets, which were not covered in the original manga.

"The Quintessential Quintuplets" is a romantic comedy about Futaro, a poor high school boy who becomes the tutor of five uniquely charming quintuplets (Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, Itsuki) who are on the brink of failing. He struggles to guide them safely to graduation.

The original manga was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) from August 2017 to February 2020, with the comics surpassing a total of 20 million copies sold.

The TV anime, featuring popular voice actors such as Kana Hanazawa (Ichika), Ayana Taketatsu (Nino), Miku Ito (Miku), Ayane Sakura (Yotsuba), and Inori Minase (Itsuki), aired from January to March 2019 and became a hit. The second season aired from January to March 2021, and a theatrical release in May 2022 grossed over 2.24 billion yen.
