5th place: Thousand Autumns 3

In search of the precious gemstone, Jade Marrow, Shen Qiao and his group, led by Chen Gong, traverse a vast desert. However, during a severe sandstorm, their guide mysteriously vanishes. Amid swirling sands and limited visibility, Shen Qiao loses his footing and, along with Yan Wushi, finds himself in an ancient, sunken city beneath the desert. After reuniting with Chen Gong’s group, they venture through the underground palace, even while under attack from unknown assailants, in pursuit of the elusive Jade Marrow. Yet disaster strikes as Chen Gong is poisoned, and only a rare fruit from the desert, Jade Broomrape, can save him. In the pitch-black darkness, Shen Qiao must press on with a wounded and altered Yan Wushi at his side.

Meanwhile, in the capital city of Chang’an, strange events are beginning to unfold.
