Collaboration Video Showcases Astonishing Synchronization Between 'Venom' and 'Kitaro Birth: The Mystery of GeGeGe'
A collaboration video between the final chapter of the "Venom" movie series, "Venom: The Last Dance", and the re-released animated film "Kitaro Birth: The Mystery of GeGeGe - True Life Version", has been unveiled on YouTube. The full-length version is being screened in cinemas nationwide (with some exceptions).
The narration for the collaboration video is provided by Junichi Suwabe, who voices the protagonist Eddie in the Japanese dubbed versions throughout the "Venom" series, and Hidenobu Kiuchi, who voices Mizuki in "Kitaro Birth: The Mystery of GeGeGe - True Life Version".
Venom, born when the extraterrestrial symbiote parasitizes journalist Eddie Brock, is a unique character with two personalities in one body, loved worldwide. The series includes "Venom" (2018) and "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" (2021), and the upcoming third and final chapter, "Venom: The Last Dance", is set for release.
On the other hand, "Kitaro Birth: The Mystery of GeGeGe" (2023), which depicts the meeting between Kitaro's father and Mizuki and the poignant fate they face, became a big hit. The "True Life Version", featuring 327 retaken cuts and re-dubbed audio for enhanced quality, is being re-released.
Both works share the commonality of being buddy stories where each has a partner who is not human. In "Venom," (human) Eddie and an extraterrestrial life form become one, saving the world as the strongest and best buddies. In "Kitaro," Kitaro's father, a descendant of the ghost tribe, partners with (human) Mizuki.
Moreover, "Venom: The Last Dance" reveals the existence and mysteries of the symbiotes from Venom's home planet, which have not been depicted until now. Similarly, "Kitaro Birth: The Mystery of GeGeGe - True Life Version" unveils the story of Kitaro's father and others for the first time. Both works lead viewers to a shocking ending revolving around secrets that have not been revealed until now.
The full-length version of the collaboration video, showcasing the astonishing synchronization of both works as they depict passionate cooperation with their partners—stirring the hearts of viewers and transcending genre boundaries—is being screened in select cinemas. Screening theaters and periods can be confirmed on the "Venom: The Last Dance" official website's theater page.
