In an X update on the 11th, Iizuka shared, "First year as a part-time lecturer. I want to learn together with all my precious students." The post included a photo of Iizuka standing at the entrance of Ferris Women’s University.

The announcement about her role as a part-time lecturer was first made on her blog on March 13th, stating, "I have some new news. Thanks to a fortunate connection, I have been offered a new path this spring. From April, I will be standing at the lectern as a part-time lecturer at Ferris Women’s University."

She continued, "I had never imagined I would embark on the path of being a university teacher. However, I hope to convey even a little of the possibilities and sparkle that can come from 'voice' to all of you who are soaring towards your dreams and future. And I also hope to advance further by making this new experience a part of my journey." The course will focus on exploring the "sound," "color," and "emotion" inherent in voice, aiming to discover each student's individuality. It will delve into the various powers of voice and connect them to self-expression. In today's world where "voice actors" are required in many expressive fields, the course aims to explore the fun of expression through voice, uncover hidden emotions, and polish the "human skills" necessary for an expresser. These discoveries will surely be beneficial for the future of each student's expressions.

Mayumi Iizuka is also known for roles such as Rena Lanford in "Star Ocean EX," Makoto Sawatari in "Kanon," and Saori Saga in "You're Under Arrest."
