Nobunaga Shimazaki Takes on Role as Voice Manager for Cinema Sunshine, IMAX Special Footage Unveiled

Voice actor Nobunaga Shimazaki has been announced as the voice manager for Cinema Sunshine, a cinema complex that operates 15 theaters nationwide, including the Grand Cinema Sunshine in Ikebukuro. This announcement comes in celebration of the upcoming release of "Detective Conan: The $1 Million Pentagram," starting from the 12th.

Cinema Sunshine, known for housing Japan's largest IMAX screen and incorporating the latest technology in its screening facilities, also offers unique theater experiences through original decorations and cafe initiatives. As a new endeavor, Shimazaki has been welcomed as the inaugural voice manager, where he will lend his voice to exclusive in-house broadcasts not available anywhere else.

Shimazaki is well-known for his roles in popular anime such as Haruka Nanase in "Free!," Mahito in "Jujutsu Kaisen," Yuki Sohma in "Fruits Basket," and Aizo in "LIP×LIP," among others. His involvement in recent blockbuster films and his affinity with the cinema made him a fitting choice for the position of voice manager.

Shimazaki expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, "I have been appointed as the voice manager for Cinema Sunshine. As a voice actor, Nobunaga Shimazaki, I'm here to deliver audio content that will make your movie time even more wonderful. I hope you'll visit us!" His voice content for Cinema Sunshine theaters will introduce the cinemas, share various discount services and exclusive membership services, and tell various stories related to the movie theater. This diverse content will be available for a year from April 2024 to March 2025, with updates throughout the period.

Additionally, special IMAX footage narrated by Shimazaki and installed in six Cinema Sunshine theaters has been released. This footage showcases a world-class viewing environment with a large screen, ultra-high-definition images, and a sound system that offers an immersive experience.
