The popular TV anime ONE PIECE (airing on Fuji TV every Sunday at 9:30 AM) aired its 1116th episode titled "Let's Go Get It! Buggy's Big Declaration" on the 18th. In this episode, the popular character Sabo, whose voice actor was recently changed, made his appearance, with Miyu Irino taking over the role.

Sabo made his first appearance in a scene where he returns to the Revolutionary Army's base. His first words were a cheerful "Ahaha" followed by a smile and "I'm back, everyone!" to greet his comrades.

On June 23, it was announced that voice actor Toru Furuya, who had admitted to an extramarital affair with a non-celebrity woman, would step down from the role of Sabo. The official ONE PIECE website conveyed the following message: "Following a request from Toru Furuya's agency to step down from his role as Sabo, we have decided to proceed with selecting a new voice actor. We appreciate your continued support of the ONE PIECE anime."

Subsequently, on the 16th of this month, the official X account announced, "Sabo will appear in the 1116th episode of ONE PIECE, airing at 9:30 AM on Sunday, August 18th. The voice will be performed by Miyu Irino. We appreciate your continued support of the ONE PIECE anime."

Miyu Irino is well-known for his roles such as Haku in Spirited Away, Todomatsu Matsuno in Mr. Osomatsu, Jinta Yadomi in Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, and Shoya Ishida in A Silent Voice.
