[ONE PIECE DAY '24] Ado Returns to the Stage for a SPECIAL LIVE, Performing Hits Like "New Genesis" and "I’m Invincible"
The second day of the large-scale event ONE PIECE DAY '24 took place on the 11th, celebrating the popular ONE PIECE franchise. After recovering from COVID-19, the singer Ado made her much-anticipated return by performing at the SPECIAL LIVE, marking the resumption of her live activities.
Ado’s recovery and return to performing were announced on the 8th by her staff via X (formerly Twitter), stating, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported Ado. We are pleased to announce that she has recovered from COVID-19 and has completed her recuperation period.” The post confirmed that Ado would perform as scheduled at the ONE PIECE DAY '24 SPECIAL LIVE on the 11th and would resume her tour from the 17th.
As the concert began, a message from Uta, voiced by Kaori Nazuka, welcomed the audience: "Welcome to ONE PIECE DAY '24 SPECIAL LIVE! It’s Uta! It’s been a while. How have you been? Have you been listening to my songs? Thank you!" The crowd's excitement reached a peak right from the start.
Ado then took the stage, captivating the audience with her powerful and delicate vocals. She performed six songs, including the theme song "New Genesis" from the anime film ONE PIECE FILM RED, along with other tracks from the film such as "Backlight," "Fleeting Lullaby," "Tot Musica," "I’m Invincible," and "Where the Wind Blows." The performance was so impressive that cheers of "Ado!" and "Uta!" continued to echo even after she finished. Ado expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you very much! Please continue to enjoy ONE PIECE!" before leaving the stage.
