Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Exhibition in Osaka Doubles Mimics Due to Popular Demand in Tokyo
The "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Exhibition" will open at Shinsaibashi OPA in Osaka on the 27th, following its overwhelming success in Tokyo, where a large crowd queued to be "eaten" by the monster Mimic. Due to the high demand, the number of Mimics has been doubled to two.

The exhibit is based on the anime adaptation of the manga "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," which began serialization in April 2020 in Weekly Shonen Sunday. The story is a "post-epic fantasy" that follows the lives of the heroes after they have defeated the Demon King. The elf mage Frieren embarks on new adventures with new companions in a world without the hero. The TV anime aired from September 2023 to March 2024.

The exhibition allows fans to experience the anime world through detailed reproductions of iconic scenes, photo spots, and dynamic battle scene videos. It is structured as a journey with chapters starting from the prologue and opening movie, leading into Chapter 1 "The Beginning of a New Adventure," Chapter 2 "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," Chapter 3 "The Monk and the Mirror Lotus," and Chapter 4 "The First-Class Mage Exam," making attendees feel like they are part of the story.

In Tokyo, the exhibition was held during Golden Week at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro and was a huge success, drawing a diverse audience including many foreign tourists. One of the most popular features was the Mimic photo spot. Mimics are monsters that look like treasure chests and eat anyone who tries to open them. In the story, Frieren often finds herself nearly eaten by them. At the photo spot, fans can take pictures as if they were in the same predicament, saying "It's dark! It's scary!"

Due to the long queues for the single Mimic in Tokyo, the Osaka venue will have two Mimics. Fans can look forward to being "eaten" by these eagerly waiting monsters.

The Osaka exhibition will be held at the special venue on the 7th floor of Shinsaibashi OPA, featuring the same content as Tokyo. The audio guide is narrated by Atsumi Tanezaki, the voice of Frieren. The exhibition will run until August 25th.
