【Demon Slayer】 Cast Talk! Featuring 15 Cast Members Including Muzan
The anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" graces the cover of the entertainment magazine "Nikkei Entertainment!" August 2024 issue (Nikkei BP), released today, July 4th, with a special feature spanning 24 pages.
The cover illustration, drawn by ufotable, depicts Tanjiro Kamado, Giyu Tomioka, and Shinobu Kocho readying their swords, reminiscent of their journey towards the three-part movie "Infinity Castle Arc" following the conclusion of the "Hashira Training Arc."
The feature is divided into two parts. In the "First Act," it introduces all episodes of the "Hashira Training Arc" and reviews the entire series, including "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc," "Mugen Train Arc," "Entertainment District Arc," and "Swordsmith Village Arc." The "Second Act" includes interviews with a total of 15 cast members, starting with Natsuki Hanae, the voice of Tanjiro Kamado, and comprehensively covers the "Hashira Training Arc," which concluded on June 30th.
Hanae shared, "I particularly love the line from the Master to Muzan, 'Eternity is the feelings of people.' Personally, I think that's what 'Demon Slayer' is all about. It left a strong impression on me." Akari Kito, who voices Nezuko Kamado, mentioned, "Nezuko has many different aspects. Overcoming the sun brought out a new side of her. She is a character I really enjoy voicing." Takahiro Sakurai, the voice of Giyu Tomioka, expressed, "For Tomioka, the awkwardness at his core makes him seem a bit childish at times. I hope to keep that unbalanced feel in my portrayal." Hiro Shimono, who voices Zenitsu Agatsuma, said, "In episode seven, Zenitsu receives a letter. The serious look he gives after reading it, showing a new level of resolve, conveys his feelings well."
Moreover, Katsuyuki Konishi, who voices Tengen Uzui, is featured in an exclusive interview during the "Hashira Training Arc" period.
