Main Trailer Shows Ashito and His Teammates Facing Frustration, Jealousy and Conflict
The main trailer opens to Ai Higuchi’s “Triangle,” the ending theme for the first cour. It shows Ashito and his teammates struggling to adjust to the high level of the Premier League, while Akutsu, Kuribayashi and Kiriki await the players who have been promoted to the A Team.
On a highly competitive stage where their current abilities are not enough, Ashito and the others struggle while confronting their own weaknesses. Even so, they continue looking upward as they aim to reach an even higher level.
In the second half of the trailer, the energetic beat of “Fortress Defense,” the first cour opening theme by 10-FEET, takes over. The footage includes a scene in which Kuribayashi expresses his expectations for Ashito, followed by a succession of characters racing across the pitch while carrying feelings of frustration, jealousy, inner conflict and impatience.

Artist Comments

10-FEET
First Cour Opening Theme: 10-FEET, “Fortress Defense”
TAKUMA, Vocals and Guitar
“I fell in love with Ao Ashi through the original manga, and then continued following it through the anime. Its perspective on soccer is fascinating, but I am also drawn to the relationships between the protagonist and his family, friends and the people around him. I am extremely honored to be responsible for the opening theme. We made a very cool song, so I hope you will give it a listen.”
NAOKI, Bass and Vocals
“I think there will be people who hear 10-FEET for the first time because of Ao Ashi, so I am also looking forward to those new encounters. It is a high energy spark packed with the feeling of a live performance, and I would be happy if the song helps expand the world of Ao Ashi even further. Believe in that impulse!”
KOUICHI, Drums and Chorus
“As someone who played soccer throughout elementary school, junior high school and high school, I could not be happier! Please listen to this song and get seriously fired up!”

Ai Higuchi
First Cour Ending Theme: Ai Higuchi, “Triangle”
“No matter how far you climb, there is always something higher. Even if you become the best at one level, the next step means starting again from the bottom of another level. That is painful, but the joy outweighs the pain, and you keep climbing. I have always felt a prickling, almost painful sense of longing for the world of Ao Ashi. This is a song for dreamers who still cannot let it end, who cannot allow it to end yet, and who cannot give up on their dreams.”
