The post also revealed the release schedule for the final two chapters. Chapter 50 is scheduled to be released on October 13, followed by Chapter 51, the final chapter, on October 20.

The Summer Hikaru Died is a youth horror story following Yoshiki, an ordinary high school student who lives alongside a mysterious entity known as "Hikaru," which imitates his childhood friend Hikaru Indou. As Yoshiki continues his life with "Hikaru," he encounters a series of strange incidents occurring around him.

The story depicts the unsettling relationship between "Something" and a boy, unfolding into a tale filled with madness and horror.

The Summer Hikaru Died Became a Major Manga and Anime Hit

The manga has been serialized on YOUNG ACE UP and ranked No. 1 in the male readers category of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023, published by Takarajimasha.

A television anime adaptation aired from July to September 2025, and production of a second season has also been confirmed.
