While the end-of-term ceremony takes place in the gym, Hikaru quietly walks the empty school halls, as if retracing memories of happier days. But he’s suddenly confronted by Asako, who asks, “You’re not 'Hikaru' after all, are you?”—revealing that she had witnessed him attacking Yoshiki. Meanwhile, Tanaka confides to Takeda, “Nonuki-sama…it never existed in the first place.”
