The Summer Hikaru Died Season 2 Confirmed! Teaser Video & Commemorative Art Revealed

The second season of the TV anime The Summer Hikaru Died has officially been confirmed. Alongside the announcement, a teaser video and a commemorative illustration were also unveiled.

The Summer Hikaru Died is a coming-of-age horror series that follows an ordinary high school boy, Yoshiki Tsujinaka, as he navigates a string of mysterious incidents that arise while living with a mysterious entity named Hikaru Indo, who imitates his childhood friend Hikaru. The story explores the madness lurking within "something (Nanika)" and a boy, delivering a suspenseful and emotional narrative.

Serialized on Young Ace UP, the manga gained major recognition, ranking No. 1 in the men’s category of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023 (published by Takarajimasha). The anime aired from July to September 2025.
