Fate Rewinder Anime Premieres in April 2027 in Late Night IMAnimation Slot With Teaser PV and Main Cast Revealed

The anime Fate Rewinder will begin airing in April 2027 on TV Asahi’s nationwide 24 station network in the “IMAnimation” programming block, which airs every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. Alongside the announcement, a new visual featuring four characters who change the fate of the world, a teaser PV, and the main cast information were revealed.

The series is based on a popular manga that became the first title in the history of Monthly CoroCoro Comic to rank No. 1 in its popularity survey for 12 consecutive months. It also won the 71st Shogakukan Manga Award, announced in January 2026, alongside titles including DAN DA DAN.

The story follows heroes who save people destined to suffer tragic deaths. Using the time machine embedded in the right eye, known as the Retry Eye, they rewind time again and again until they find a way to save them, never giving up until they succeed.

The cast includes Sho Komura as Chrono, Koki Uchiyama as Shirai, Kohei Amasaki as Akaba, and Reina Ueda as Lemon.

The staff includes director Rie Matsumoto, known for Blood Blockade Battlefront, while animation production will be handled by BONES FILM, known for works including Fullmetal Alchemist and My Hero Academia. Character designs will be created by Toshihiro Kawamoto, who has worked on numerous titles including Cowboy Bebop and Blood Blockade Battlefront. The script will be handled by Kimiko Ueno, who served on series composition and scripts for works including Marriage Toxin, while the music will be composed by Satoshi Murai, who has worked on projects including the special PV commemorating the release of volume 9 of Chainsaw Man.
