Chainsaw Man Creator Tatsuki Fujimoto Draws Dandadan Illustration for 5th Anniversary, Fans Call It “Genius”

Dandadan became a trending topic online after an illustration by Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto was shared on the manga's official X account.

The artwork was released as part of the celebration for Dandadan's fifth anniversary. The official account posted a message saying, “Celebration Illustration Revealed. We received this from Tatsuki Fujimoto, creator of Chainsaw Man. Thank you very much!”

The illustration also included a handwritten message reading, “Congratulations on the 5th anniversary,” and featured Okarun in his transformed state.

Fans quickly reacted online, praising Fujimoto's unique style. Comments included:

What Is Dandadan?

Dandadan is an occult action manga currently serialized on Shonen Jump+ by Shueisha. The story follows high school girl Momo Ayase, who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun (Ken Takakura), an avid occult enthusiast, as they confront a variety of supernatural phenomena.

The series gained popularity for its distinctive mix of paranormal horror, action, comedy, and coming of age storytelling. Its cumulative circulation has surpassed 12 million copies.

The anime's first season aired from October to December 2024, followed by a second season from July to September 2025. A third season is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
