The TV anime Dandadan Season 3 has been officially confirmed for a 2027 broadcast, with Science SARU once again handling the animation production.

The original work is the manga Dandadan by Yukinobu Tatsu, currently serialized on Shonen Jump Plus, Shueisha’s manga app. With total circulation exceeding 12 million copies, the series has established itself as a major hit. Season 1 aired from October to December 2024, while Season 2 followed from July to September 2025.

The newly revealed Season 3 teaser visual features a striking and unusual color palette dominated by purplish hues. At the center is a mysterious beautiful girl peering out from inside a space monster, surrounded by familiar characters including Okarun with a shocked expression, Momo casting a suspicious glance, and Turbo Granny. This visual strongly suggests that the “girl wearing a space monster” will serve as a key figure in the upcoming storyline, hinting at an entirely new development.

The story of Dandadan begins with Momo Ayase, a high school girl born into a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Ken Takakura, known as Okarun, an avid occult enthusiast. Their argument over whether aliens or ghosts truly exist leads them to investigate separate supernatural locations. There, they encounter phenomena far beyond human understanding. As Momo awakens hidden powers and Okarun gains cursed abilities, the two face bizarre threats together, blending occult battles with a budding sense of romance in a fast paced youth driven supernatural action story.
