Rosa, who was raised to take pride in her identity as a Black person, one day refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white person. This small yet life-threatening act of defiance moved people's hearts, leading to the bus boycott movement and expanding into the nationwide civil rights movement. The bus boycott was led by the then-young and unknown Reverend King. Rosa and her colleagues' dedicated efforts eventually resulted in the establishment of the Civil Rights Act, which banned racial discrimination. Rosa, who said, "You must never be afraid to take the first step to bring about change," demonstrated this through her courageous actions. Please take note of this book, which allows readers to enjoyably and easily learn about the life of Rosa Parks, America's beloved "civil rights hero."
