Tokyo Revengers Sequel The Battle of Three Deities Arc Premieres October 2, New PV Reveals Mikey and Haruchiyo Sanzu 12 Years Later

The sequel to the TV anime Tokyo Revengers, titled Tokyo Revengers: The Battle of Three Deities Arc, will begin airing on MBS, TBS, and CBC from October 2. New episodes will air every Friday at 1:53 a.m. A third promotional video has also been released, showing Mikey and Haruchiyo Sanzu in the world 12 years later.

The newly released third PV begins with a video letter from Mikey, who addresses “Takemitchy 12 years later.” Mikey appears before Takemichi in the world 12 years later, while Haruchiyo Sanzu also makes his entrance as the story moves into a new phase. The PV also depicts a tense scene in which a gun is pointed at Takemichi.

About Tokyo Revengers

Tokyo Revengers is based on the popular manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine by Kodansha from 2017 to 2022. The story follows Takemichi Hanagaki, also known as Takemitchy, a struggling part time worker at rock bottom in life. After time leaping back 12 years to his middle school days, the peak of his life, he begins his revenge on life in order to save his murdered girlfriend and change the self who had always run away.

The manga has surpassed 80 million copies in circulation. The TV anime aired the 8.3 Conflict Arc and Bloody Halloween Arc from April to September 2021. Season 2, the Christmas Showdown Arc, aired from January to March 2023, followed by Season 3, the Tenjiku Arc, from October to December 2023. Live action films were also released in 2021 and 2023.

The Battle of Three Deities Arc Story

In the anime sequel The Battle of Three Deities Arc, the conflict between Tokyo Manji Gang and Tenjiku ends in tragedy, and each character moves forward while carrying their own grief. Meanwhile, Takemichi Hanagaki, also known as Takemitchy, feels a sense of fear toward the deceased Tetta Kisaki. After hearing everything that happened during the time leap, Manjiro Sano, also known as Mikey, makes a certain decision.

After leaving the past behind following the battle, Takemichi finally reaches the best possible future, where his girlfriend Hinata Tachibana is alive. However, “he” is nowhere to be found. In a world that has entered the Three Deities era, where three teams compete for supremacy, the final revenge begins.
