Historie Anime Set for January 2027 Release with New Teaser Visual, PV, Cast

The TV anime adaptation of Historie, the historical epic by Hitoshi Iwaaki, the creator who shocked readers with Parasyte, has been confirmed for broadcast in January 2027. The manga has surpassed 4.7 million copies in circulation.

The second teaser visual features Eumenes holding a map at the center, surrounded by motifs that hold the key to the story. The first PV has also been released, showing various characters connected to Eumenes’s childhood.

In the 4th century BC, Eumenes, a young man with rich knowledge and education, meets the great philosopher Aristotle, and together they set out for the city state of Cardia.

It is Eumenes’s hometown, and the place where everything began.

Raised as the second son of a distinguished family, Eumenes reveals extraordinary talent from childhood. Not only is he well versed in Greek books, he also possesses sharp powers of observation and judgment, earning the respect of adults around him despite his young age.

However, after a certain incident occurs in Cardia, Eumenes is forced to face his own destiny.

A voyage, wandering, and new encounters await. The long odyssey of Eumenes, who would later become the secretary of Alexander the Great, begins here.

Eumenes, voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki, is a young man who describes himself as a barbaroi and is heading for his hometown of Cardia. He has deep knowledge and outstanding wisdom, while also remaining extremely calm and skilled at assessing situations. He is also familiar with the political climate surrounding the Greek world.


Older Brother Hieronymus

Older Brother Hieronymus, voiced by Ryota Suzuki, is Eumenes’s older brother. He is often compared with the academically gifted Eumenes.


Father Hieronymus

Father Hieronymus, voiced by Kazuya Ichijo, is Eumenes’s father and an influential figure in Cardia. He is the first to recognize Eumenes’s talent.
