Sgt. Frog Musical Announces Keroro Platoon Cast as Teaser Visual Unveiled

Sergeant Frog musical has officially revealed its main cast, marking the first stage musical adaptation of the popular anime and manga series.

First Musical Adaptation of Sergeant Frog Reveals Cast and Visual

The stage production titled Pecopon Invasion Musical Sergeant Frog has announced five main cast members, including Shogo Tamura as Keroro. Alongside the casting reveal, a teaser visual and performance details were also released.

The cast lineup features Shogo Tamura as Keroro, Shion Otomo as Tamama Second Class Private, Ryono Kusachi as Corporal Giroro, Haruki Kiyama as Sergeant Major Kururu, and Shin Tamura as Sergeant Major Dororo. All five actors are known for their work in the 2.5D stage scene, bringing strong expectations for the production.

Colorful Costumes Highlight Character Personalities

The teaser visual showcases the Keroro Platoon dressed in vibrant stage costumes that reflect each character’s motif. The designs emphasize the comedic and lighthearted tone of the story while adapting it for live performance.

An official TikTok account for the musical, known as Keromyu(JP: ケロミュ), has also been launched, where exclusive content and updates will be shared.

Performance Schedule and Series Background

The musical will run from September 18 to September 27 at the Japan Youth Hall in Tokyo.

Sergeant Frog, created by Mine Yoshizaki, is a long running manga serialized in Monthly Shonen Ace. The story follows frog like alien invaders who arrive on Earth and cause chaotic and comedic situations. The anime aired for seven years starting in 2004 and expanded into five theatrical films, becoming a widely recognized franchise. The series celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024, along with the 20th anniversary of its anime adaptation.

Additionally, a brand new theatrical film titled New Sergeant Frog the Movie will be released on June 26, marking the first new installment in 16 years.
