Cure Arcana Shadow Appears as the Battle Begins, Star Detective Precure! Episode 11 Story & Preview Cuts Released

The story and preview images for Episode 11 of the new TV anime Star Detective Precure! (JP: 名探偵プリキュア！), the 23rd installment in the long-running Precure franchise, have been revealed. The series is set to begin airing on April 12.

Episode 11 Story

A notice from the Phantom Thieves Guild arrives at the Hōshō Art Museum, home to a vast collection of valuable artworks. The message declares their intention to “receive” a necklace known as the “Starlight Princess.”

The announcement quickly becomes news, and upon hearing the name Phantom Thieves Guild, Anna Akechi and her friends head to the museum. Valued at over 2 billion yen, the “Starlight Princess” is protected by strict security and an ultra reinforced special glass display case.

While inspecting the museum with Mikuru Kobayashi, Anna is approached by Luluka Moria in the exhibition room. However, after saying, “Do your best, great detective,” Luluka suddenly disappears.

As closing time passes and the clock strikes 8:00 PM, the moment mentioned in the notice, all the lights in the museum suddenly go out. When the emergency power restores the lighting, a Phantom Thieves Guild card is found attached to the display case of the “Starlight Princess,” bearing the message that the contents have already been replaced with a fake.

A new confrontation begins as the mystery deepens and Cure Arcana Shadow makes her appearance.

Introduction

Star Detective Precure introduces the first detective themed Precure storyline in the franchise and is set primarily in 1999. The protagonist Anna Akechi is a 14 year old second year middle school student living in Makoto Mirai Town. On her birthday, she encounters a fairy named Pochitan and is guided by a mysterious pendant found in her room, triggering a time slip from the year 2027 back to Makoto Mirai City in 1999.

There, Anna meets another 14 year old girl, Mikuru Kobayashi, who dreams of becoming a great detective. When a series of incidents begin to occur, the two girls find themselves unable to ignore people suffering from stolen treasured possessions. Together, they transform into the Star Detective Precure, solving mysteries with the catchphrase “That mystery will be cured” while protecting smiles through sharp deduction and searching for clues that may allow Anna to return to her original time.
