SCREENX Experience Impresses Cast and Fans
Starting April 3, the film began screening in SCREENX and ULTRA 4DX formats across 27 theaters nationwide, including four ULTRA 4DX locations.
SCREENX is a format that expands the viewing experience by projecting visuals not only on the front screen but also onto the left and right walls, immersing audiences in the world of the story with a wider field of vision.
Looking around the theater, Ono commented that it was overwhelming, saying it almost made him unsure where to look. Some audience members had reportedly watched the film more than 20 times.
Discussing the unique battle scenes in SCREENX, Ono said, “You can truly experience Hathaway.” He added humorously, “People who have watched it more than ten times probably already know what happens next, like ‘It’s coming from the right, so dodge left.’ Maybe they’ve become human Newtypes through effort.”

The Sorcery of Nymph Circe has surpassed the success of the previous film. Ono expressed his gratitude, saying that he often hears people tell him they watched Hathaway, though many are left speechless after viewing.
Ueda added that she hears similar reactions on set, with people quietly saying they watched the film. Ono also shared a behind the scenes story, saying that on another project, someone remarked, “Hathaway and Gigi are both here.”
The first film, released in 2021, was a major hit with box office revenue exceeding 2.23 billion yen. In this sequel, the story unfolds with even greater dramatic intensity, depicting Hathaway confronting past trauma through Gigi while continuing his mission as Mafty and preparing for the Adelaide Conference attack.
The film has now surpassed 2.5 billion yen in box office revenue, marking a new high for the series.
