About Gundam Hathaway
Hathaway was produced as the second theatrical installment of the UC NexT 0100 project, which began following the 40th anniversary of Gundam in 2019 and looks ahead to the next century of the Universal Century timeline. The film strongly inherits the worldview of Mobile Suit Gundam Char’s Counterattack released in 1988, which depicted the final battle between Amuro Ray and Char Aznable.
The story unfolds along two narrative axes. One follows the struggle of the anti Earth Federation government movement Mafty, while the other traces the intersecting fates of its leader Hathaway Noa, the mysterious young woman Gigi Andalucia, and Earth Federation Colonel Kenneth Sleg.

A Franchise With a Proven Box Office Track Record
The first Hathaway film released in 2021 became a major hit, surpassing 2.23 billion yen (approximately 14.4 million USD) at the Japanese box office. In Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, the series delivers the most densely developed drama in its history. Hathaway, reminded of past trauma by Gigi, is swayed by her words even as he continues preparations for Mafty’s objective, the attack on the Adelaide Conference.
All USD conversions are calculated at an exchange rate of 155 yen per US dollar.
