The opening theme is introduced within the first 100 seconds of the film promotion, marking a major collaboration between the Gundam film series and an internationally acclaimed artist.

The upcoming animated film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, scheduled for release on January 30, is the latest installment following the 2021 theatrical release of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway. It has been confirmed that the opening theme will be Snooze by SZA, one of the most successful R and B artists in the world. Alongside this announcement, a special promotional video featuring the opening theme has been released.

SZA is a singer songwriter from New Jersey in the United States who made her major debut in 2017 with the album Ctrl. Her distinctive vocal style, husky tone, and genre crossing sound influenced by classical music, jazz, soul, and hip hop earned widespread acclaim. At the 60th Grammy Awards, she received nominations in five major categories including Best New Artist, achieving the highest number of nominations among female artists that year.
